I'm Marcy, the creator and cozy reader behind Dex Avenue.

I started crafting during nap times and quiet evenings, just stitching and creating, inspired by my favorite books, cozy rituals, and quiet joys. What began as a creative escape soon turned into something more: a way to make the bookish life I loved feel even more intentional.

The name "Dex" comes from my middle son. I'd always used my firstborn's name for important things, so when it came time to name this shop, it felt right to give my middle guy his special moment too. And just like that, Dex Avenue was born.

What I Make

Every product here is handmade, quilted book sleeves, hand-illustrated bookmarks, whimsical stickers. The kind of things that make your reading life feel a little more like you.

I work in small batches from California, crafting each piece with intention (and usually a candle flickering beside me). When you order from Dex Avenue, you're supporting one person who just really loves books and making things.

A Little About Me

When I'm not stitching or packing orders, you'll probably find me rereading Throne of Glass, The Song of Achilles, Magnolia Parks, or The Remnant Chronicles. I'm a sucker for slow mornings, dreamy reads, and yes—Grey's Anatomy is still my ultimate comfort watch.

I share the journey with fellow readers on TikTok and Instagram, posting cozy bookish content and growing this handmade shop one small batch at a time.

Why I Do This
