☕ My Annotating Ritual (And What’s Always Nearby)

Here’s a peek into what I use when I annotate and why these little details matter to me:

🧵 1. A Book Sleeve to Keep My Reads Safe

When I’m out and about, my current read stays in a padded, quilted book sleeve. It’s soft, cozy, and honestly just feels like part of the ritual now.

✍️ 2. An Annotating Pouch

I keep my tabs, pens, highlighters, and sticky notes in one of my medium pouches so I can grab it when I move from my desk to the couch. I even have a backup in my car (don’t judge me).

📚 3. Book Tabs + Color Code System

Pink for heartbreak. Orange for foreshadowing. Blue for quotes I wish I wrote. Annotating makes me more present  and helps me remember what I loved about a book long after I finish it.

🍊 4. A Cozy Drink

Whether it’s orange juice or tea in one of my favorite glass cups, something about sipping something warm or citrusy while I read just… completes the moment.

🧦 5. All the Soft Things

Comfy socks, my go-to cardigan, and a blanket I probably stole from my kid’s room  (this is part of the vibe too). Reading isn’t just mental; it’s physical comfort.
